Creating help integrated with your application - first round

This first tutorial is short. Making the initial help integrated your application can be done in just a couple of minutes. It is this that makes Help Generator an unique time saving help authoring tool and documentation solution. To create the initial help project with the Help Generator wizard :

1. Open your application in it's development environment.
2. Start the help generator add-in from the menu Tools > Help Generator > New Project…
3. Walk thru the Help Generator wizard steps to give details on how you want the help to be set up.

Note: maximize the wizard to see more details on how wizard options will effect the generated topics pages.

If you now start your application and press F1 the help pops up that coresponds with the current form or report. If you work from Visual Studio.NET you will first have to copy the HTML file to the same folder as your exe is in.

After having generated the help project you will start adding content to it using the HTML Help editor .
