Example 2: Sending an email

  1. Open accessmailmergedemo.mdb (frmMain should open automatically on tab Letters)
  2. Select in the list box on the right 'Letter'
  3. (optionally Select records to process / create documents from in the Overview pane - bottom of the split screen)
  4. Press the Start Mail Merge button
  5. If you use Outlook to send emails you will get the Outlook access warning message below. Check 'Allow access for .. ' and press Yes to let Outlook continue. By supplying some code you can add to Outlook we also offer a solution to this problem, see Send email without outlook security warning.

Notice the email address was automatically picked up.
